Getting people on the dance floor is one of the DJ’s top priorities. In order to grab the party’s attention our DJ must grasp the heart of every generation. Our DJ browse through genres from pop, rock, hip hop, country, and cumbias to get folks from the Silent Generation to Gen Z on their feet. Our DJs are prepared for any occasion from weddings, school dances and company events you name it. The songs we noticed that everyone loves isn’t really too hard to find.

Songs that everyone cannot resist and do the job are line dances. From the classics like The Twist to today’s hits like the Tootsie Slide are great ways to get baby boomers and millennials to get along and dance the night away. Let us not forget the iconic favorites like “The Hustle”, “YMCA”, “Boot Scootin Boogie”, “Cupid Shuffle”, “Cha Cha Slide” and “The Wobble”. All these songs hold an importance and should be added to your party playlist.

Now for the classics that molded the genres later to come. We cannot forget the roots of music that came from this era. All the old hits that came out of Etta James, Elvis, and Marvin Gaye are a must to get everyone together. “Can’t help falling in love” and “At Last” still are the perfect songs for a 1st dance or even to slow dance too. We can’t forget all the songs by Frank Sinatra to The Beatles that still hold up today. These hits will give a wholesome feeling to your guest and make the dance floor look and feel so dreamy.

We cannot forget about Gen X and millennials. All this era had was groove to feel in your heart and dancing queens. Any song from these artist gets the response a DJ loves to see. Michael Jackson, Queen, ABBA, Prince, Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, and even Haddaway works every time. We have noticed people get excited and storm to the dance floor with “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire, “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins and “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-A-Lot. Let’s not forget the classic line dances like “The Electric Slide”, “Cotton Eyed Joe” and “The Macarena”.  These are a no brainer to get the party started. Lastly, a great way to end the night is playing “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey.

Finally Gen Z, the generation of hit after hit. Millennials can be a part of the fun too since their era originated most of the artists. Not only did this time give us pop classics but gave birth to many group dances. “Crank That (Soulja Boy)”, “Watch Me (Whip/ Nae Nae)”, “Stanky Legg” and “Teach Me How To Dougie” all intertwine to get the night started. Artist that never fails the DJ is Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Usher, Bruno Mars, Bad Bunny and Cardi B. Any song played by these artists is an automatic switch to dance. To end the night, “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers, “Forever” by Chris Brown, and “One More Time” by Daft Punk will leave the perfect impression of the amazing time that your guest had.

No matter what era of music our San Antonio DJ plays the job is to get all age groups to have a good time. Getting the grandkids to teach the grandparents some new moves make us know we’re doing exactly what we are intended to do. We make memories for the ages and make a guide of hits for the perfect night.
